About our Founder

Misty Pfanz

Misty Pfanz founded Atlas Senior Advocacy out of a desire to help families navigate one of the most confusing and emotionally draining parts of life: the transition to long-term care.

Misty’s path to this work began in 2018, when she launched a business recording seniors’ life stories on video. Listening to those stories left a lasting impression and grew into a broader commitment to supporting older adults in practical ways.

Outside of her work, Misty lives in Zionsville with her partner and three kids. She’s happiest getting her hands in the soil restoring native habitats, speed-cubing with her kids, rock climbing with her partner or learning something new. As a neurodivergent adult, she’s passionate about building spaces where all kinds of people feel safe and valued, and she finds community in connecting with others that see the world a little differently. Whether she’s decoding a Medicaid regulation or identifying a native bee, Misty brings curiosity, care, and deep respect for the living to everything she does.
